Teaching Assistant – Supporting Young People with SEND
£89 per day | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only

We’re working with a number of inclusive and supportive schools seeking Teaching Assistants who are confident, compassionate and ready to help students achieve their full potential — both in and beyond the classroom.

 

About the Role:


As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students who may have a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health challenges. You’ll support learning, encourage independence and help create a positive and structured learning environment throughout the school day.

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • A calm, patient and consistent approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people and staff

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Experience supporting children or young people (in school, care, youth work or similar)

  • Understanding of, or interest in, SEND and inclusive education

 

What we also love to see:

 

  • Experience with specific needs such as autism, SEMH, or non-verbal communication wherever the experience is from

  • Experience with young people such as youth groups, volunteering, care, clubs
