Primary Teaching Assistant

£76 Per Day

Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant!
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? Do you have the enthusiasm and SEND experience to support individual students on a 1:1 basis and lead small intervention groups? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you at our school, a warm and welcoming school.
Position: Teaching Assistant
Hours: 08:30 – 15:15, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Salary: £76 per day
Probation Period: One term (potential for longer for the right candidate)/Ongoing
Start date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to students with learning needs
Lead small intervention groups to address individual learning needs
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Assist with classroom activities and tasks as directed by the teacher
Contribute to the planning and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
Desired Experience:
Previous experience working with children or young people
Understanding of SEND or learning disabilities and familiarity with various learning support strategies
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
Passion for education and supporting the unique needs of each child
Key Traits for Success:
Patience and empathy in working with students with diverse needs
Adaptability and a positive attitude towards professional development
Strong communication skills with both students and colleagues
A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges
Ability to maintain a calm and supportive presence, especially in challenging situations
Qualifications:
While formal Teaching Assistant qualifications are not necessary, we are looking for individuals who are committed to the role, the students, and their own professional development.
