Are you a recent Psychology graduate or an experienced teaching assistant ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? A welcoming secondary school in Worthing is seeking an engaging and emotionally intelligent individual to join their team this September.
This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience working with students with a range of needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health challenges. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers, SEND specialists, and pastoral teams to support learning, build confidence, and help students reach their potential.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing 1:1 and small group support inside and outside the classroom
Supporting students with additional learning or behavioural needs
Helping to implement behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation tools
Assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons
What we’re looking for:
A degree in Psychology or relevant experience working with young people
A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach
A genuine passion for education and inclusion
An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
