Type: Monday to Friday | Term Time Only | September Start | Temp-to-Perm

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist SEND school in Slough from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) within a specialist school environment. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and achieve their individual targets.

The role will include:

  • Supporting pupils with ASD and PMLD on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with learning activities and classroom routines
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Encouraging independence and the development of life skills
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally ASD and/or PMLD
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs

Training and ongoing support will be provided.
