Safeguarding Officer

Main Purpose of Role

To help and promote the safeguarding of pupils by applying safeguarding policies and liaising with colleagues, local authorities, external agencies, and parents/carers as necessary.

School Context

This is a highly specialised SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school for boys aged 6 to 18 years. Pupils may present with complex emotional and behavioural needs, requiring a high level of pastoral care, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice. The school offers a uniquely supportive and therapeutic environment.

Set on 23 acres of beautiful countryside, the school boasts exceptional facilities, including a wide range of therapeutic approaches—and even a working farm on site to support the emotional and social development of the pupils. Due to its rural location, the school is only accessible by car, so applicants must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

This is one of the most prestigious schools we partner with, known for its strong commitment to both pupil and staff wellbeing, particularly in the face of challenging behaviour. Staff are well-supported through ongoing training, collaborative teamworking, and a robust safeguarding structure.
