Part-Time Cleaner – 15 Hours per Week

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and hard-working Cleaner to join a wonderful secondary school in Bexhill. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Hours

15 hours per week
Flexible working hours, primarily before or after school hours
Some flexibility can be discussed

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Clean classrooms, sports hall, corridors etc!
Maintain sports facilities, including thorough cleaning of the sports hall
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise surfaces
Empty bins and manage waste safely
Replenish cleaning supplies
Ensure all cleaning meets high standards and follows health and safety procedures
Use initiative to identify areas needing attention and carry out tasks independently

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

Proactive and detail-focused
Reliable and hardworking
Able to work independently and use their own initiative
Comfortable working in a busy environment
Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including heavier duties

Essential Requirements

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Desirable (Not Essential)

Previous experience working as a cleaner (experience in a school or similar environment is beneficial)
Familiarity with COSHH regulations (training can be provided)
