Part-Time Cleaner – 15 Hours per Week

Location: Bexhill-on-Sea

We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and hard-working Cleaner to join a wonderful secondary school in Bexhill. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, students, and visitors.

 

Hours

  • 15 hours per week

  • Flexible working hours, primarily before or after school hours

  • Some flexibility can be discussed

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Clean classrooms, sports hall, corridors etc!

  • Maintain sports facilities, including thorough cleaning of the sports hall

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise surfaces

  • Empty bins and manage waste safely

  • Replenish cleaning supplies

  • Ensure all cleaning meets high standards and follows health and safety procedures

  • Use initiative to identify areas needing attention and carry out tasks independently

 

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proactive and detail-focused

  • Reliable and hardworking

  • Able to work independently and use their own initiative

  • Comfortable working in a busy environment

  • Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including heavier duties

 

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

 

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Previous experience working as a cleaner (experience in a school or similar environment is beneficial)

  • Familiarity with COSHH regulations (training can be provided)
