Salary: Surrey Fringe MPS/UPS plus TLR2 and SEN Allowance £2,679 per annum

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Lead Teacher to join our dynamic team just outside Guildford. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is eager to lead and inspire students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Develop and implement an engaging science curriculum for KS3 and KS4 students.

  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, providing targeted support to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and enthusiasm for science.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the school.

  • Support and mentor other teachers within the department, promoting professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
