Science Teacher – Brighton

Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent | Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Brighton. This is a full-time, long-term position, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

This role is suitable for a qualified teacher (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about delivering high-quality science education and inspiring young learners.

The Role:

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available depending on experience)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Assessing, marking, and tracking pupil progress
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the science department and wider school team

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT
  • Have strong subject knowledge in science
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Be committed, reliable, and motivated
  • Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Hold a current enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
