Secondary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Eastbourne
Position: Long-Term/Full-Time
Rate of Pay: £84 – £90 per day

Our client school in Eastbourne is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support students in both mainstream and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) settings. This is a long-term, full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects
• Assist students with their learning in both mainstream and SEND environments
• Provide one-on-one and small group support where needed
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to support the needs of all students

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school setting or with SEND students is desirable but not essential
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
• Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments
