Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students within secondary schools across Burgess Hill. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive difference in young people’s lives.
Provide classroom support to teachers across a range of subjects.
Assist students with their learning, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Support students with additional educational needs, both individually and in small groups.
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence.
Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies.
Support the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications or experience in education, childcare, youth work, or support work are advantageous.
