We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and supportive Secondary Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools across the Littlehampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide classroom support, promote engagement in learning, and contribute to a positive educational environment. You may also support students with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop confidence both academically and socially.
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
Working with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
Assisting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting classroom management.
Helping to prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
Promoting student wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic about supporting learning.
Demonstrate a positive and proactive approach to classroom support.
Have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Hold relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
