Pay: £14.25–£16.25 per hour, dependent on experience

Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Crawley in their search for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students with their learning, confidence, development, and wellbeing. Working alongside teaching staff, you will help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students in the classroom and across the wider school environment.
• Work alongside teachers to support learning and classroom activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Help students to remain engaged, focused, and confident in their learning.
• Support students with additional learning, behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
• Encourage independence, resilience, and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Assist with classroom resources and learning activities.
• Support positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and other members of the school team.
• Become a valued and supportive member of the wider school community.

• Interested in developing their experience and career within education.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
