A specialist SEMH setting in Petersfield is looking for a resilient and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to support students who have experienced challenges within mainstream education.

The school works with young people who may present with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, trauma backgrounds and difficulties with emotional regulation. Staff are passionate about creating positive relationships and helping students rebuild confidence in education.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students throughout the school day
• Building strong, professional relationships
• Managing behaviour positively and consistently
• Supporting learning both inside and outside of the classroom
• Encouraging engagement, resilience and self-esteem
• Helping students develop strategies for emotional regulation

We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with backgrounds in:

• Youth work
• Sports coaching
• Care work
• Residential support
• Mental health support
• SEND education
