Pink Tile Education is supporting a fantastic SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) primary school just outside Horsham in their search for a committed, resilient and nurturing Primary Teacher to join their brilliant team.

This school offers an incredibly supportive, structured and therapeutic environment for pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. Staff work together to help children regulate, build confidence, develop emotional literacy and access learning in a personalised, meaningful way.

The Role

  • Full teaching responsibilities within a KS1 or KS2 SEMH class (depending on experience)
  • Delivering a creative, adapted curriculum that meets individual needs
  • Building trusting, consistent relationships with pupils
  • Planning lessons that incorporate social‑emotional learning and academic progress
  • Working closely with behaviour specialists, TAs and therapists
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, resilience and confidence
  • Creating a safe, predictable and nurturing classroom environment

About You

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a qualified primary teacher (ECT or experienced)
  • Have an interest in SEMH, behaviour, trauma‑informed practice or alternative provision
  • Bring patience, empathy and resilience to your work
  • Are calm, consistent and confident in de‑escalation
  • Can build strong relationships based on trust and respect
  • Are passionate about helping children achieve both emotionally and academically
  • Believe in inclusive practice and the power of early intervention

Experience in SEMH is an advantage—but not essential. The school is very open to teachers with the right mindset and attitude.
