Nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, this specialist primary provision supports pupils aged 5-11 who require additional social, emotional and mental health support.
Many of the children attending this setting have experienced significant challenges in their lives and need trusted adults who can provide consistency, understanding and encouragement.
The school is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant who can build meaningful relationships and become a positive role model for vulnerable children.
Your Responsibilities
- Support children with SEMH, ADHD and autism
- Help pupils develop emotional regulation strategies
- Provide structured support during lessons
- Assist with behaviour management plans
- Promote positive choices and decision-making
- Support outdoor learning and enrichment activities
- Encourage attendance, engagement and confidence
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
- Experience working with children or young people
- Youth work, sports coaching, care or mentoring experience
- A calm and positive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong resilience and emotional intelligence
- A full driving licence and access to transport
