We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and contribute to our nurturing community.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with social, emotional, and mental health and complex learning difficulty needs
  • Assist teachers in creating and delivering personalised learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students in developing their social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Monitor and document student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Understanding of strategies to support students with diverse emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology, or child development (preferred but not essential).
  • Dbs on the update service or willinng to acquire one.
  • Driving is essential due to the location of the school.
