🕒 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
💷 Pay: £445 per week

💼 Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanent placement

A lovely mainstream primary school in West Ashling is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with complex behavioural needs. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a nurturing environment and is passionate about helping children thrive.

👶 About the Role

Supporting a child throughout the school day to access learning and routines
Helping the child manage emotions, transitions, and social interactions
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow personalised strategies
Using positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and calm communication
Creating a safe and supportive space for learning and growth

🙌 What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children with behavioural or emotional needs
A calm, consistent and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine interest in child development and inclusive education
Reliability and a willingness to learn

🎓 Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in EYFS or KS1
Knowledge of behaviour support strategies or trauma-informed practice
Relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, safeguarding, SEMH awareness)
