Pink Tile Education are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Burgess Hill. This Learning Support Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to work within a supportive school environment while making a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

This full-time SEN Teaching Assistant job in Burgess Hill will involve supporting pupils within EYFS and Key Stage 1 who have a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, communication difficulties and speech and language needs.

The school is a large, four-form entry primary school with an excellent reputation across West Sussex for inclusion and pupil support. The school benefits from modern facilities, dedicated intervention spaces and a highly experienced SENCO who works closely with Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants throughout the school.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

As a Learning Support Assistant in Burgess Hill, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
• Support children with ASD and ADHD
• Assist with emotional regulation strategies
• Support pupils during classroom lessons and social times
• Deliver small group interventions
• Help pupils develop confidence, communication and independence
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Requirements

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant job in Burgess Hill, applicants should have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEN TA
• Experience working within a primary school, nursery, care, youth work or similar environment
• A strong understanding of special educational needs
• Excellent communication skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
• Access to a vehicle is highly desirable due to the location
