Are you a passionate SENCo or experienced SEND practitioner looking for a role where you can truly make a difference?
This lovely, nurturing primary school in Horley is seeking a dedicated SENCo to join their team for a long‑term assignment covering staff absence — and they’d love to welcome someone who shares their child‑centred ethos and warm community feel.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supportive, well‑led school where inclusion is at the heart of everything they do.

💛 Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Join a caring, forward‑thinking primary school with a brilliant reputation for inclusion.
  • Work with a genuinely lovely SLT who value SEN and champion early intervention.
  • Make a real impact supporting pupils with a wide range of needs.
  • Full‑time role with consistent hours, stability and a welcoming team.
  • Immediate start for the right person.

📚 About the Role

As the school’s acting SENCo, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate provision for pupils with SEND
  • Work closely with teachers, parents and external agencies
  • Develop personalised strategies and intervention plans
  • Review and manage EHCP processes and SEND documentation
  • Champion inclusive practice across the school
  • Support staff with behaviour strategies, screening and early identification

You’ll have plenty of support from SLT, who are committed to ensuring you have the time and space to do the role properly.

🎓 Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • SENCo qualification or strong, relevant SENCo/SEND leadership experience
  • A passion for inclusive education and children’s wellbeing
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A calm, proactive and solution‑focused approach
  • Confidence working with pupils with a wide range of needs

Whether you’re an experienced SENCo or a skilled SEND practitioner ready to step up — we’d love to hear from you.
