Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs?
We are currently looking for a SEND/SEMH Individual Needs Assistant to work in a supportive school in the Surrey area. This role would suit someone who is confident supporting children with challenging behaviour, autism, ADHD and a range of additional needs.
You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
You will work closely with teachers and the wider school team to help pupils feel safe, supported and able to engage with their education.

We are looking for someone who is patient, resilient, calm and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Previous experience working with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD or challenging behaviour is desirable. Experience in a school, SEN setting, residential care, youth work, support work or similar environment would also be beneficial.
You don’t necessarily need to have worked in a school before — we are particularly interested in candidates who have the right attitude, resilience and ability to build positive relationships with young people.
