Pink Tile Education are currently looking for a SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Croydon area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop their career within SEND and SEMH education.
As a SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support with their learning, behaviour and emotional development.
You may be supporting children with:
Autism (ASC)
Learning disabilities and learning difficulties
Challenging behaviour
Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
Communication and interaction difficulties
Additional SEND needs
Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access learning, manage their behaviour and emotions, develop independence and build positive relationships.
You will work closely with teachers and other members of the school team to create a safe, supportive and positive learning environment.
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced working with children with SEND, SEMH or additional needs
Confident supporting children with challenging behaviour
Understanding of autism and learning disabilities
Calm, patient and non-judgemental
Resilient and able to remain positive in challenging situations
Caring, enthusiastic and committed
A strong communicator and team player
Willing to learn, undertake training and develop professionally
Passionate about helping children reach their potential
Previous experience within a SEND, SEMH, specialist school or primary setting is highly desirable.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, patience and commitment to make a genuine difference to children’s lives.
£100 – £120 per day
