Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist setting in Lewes. This is a full-time temporary role running from January to February, with the potential to continue longer. You will be teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs and delivering high-quality, individualised learning.
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with EHCPs
Support pupils with SEND including ASD, SEMH, MLD/SLD
Work closely with teaching assistants and therapists
Use effective behaviour management strategies
Track and report pupil progress
Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching in a SEND or specialist provision
Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and flexible approach
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
Supportive and friendly SEND team
