SEND Teacher – Full-Time 

Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Contract: Full-Time, January – February 2026 (possibility of extension)
Start Date: January 2026

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist setting in Lewes. This is a full-time temporary role running from January to February, with the potential to continue longer. You will be teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs and delivering high-quality, individualised learning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with EHCPs

  • Support pupils with SEND including ASD, SEMH, MLD/SLD

  • Work closely with teaching assistants and therapists

  • Use effective behaviour management strategies

  • Track and report pupil progress

  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching in a SEND or specialist provision

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills

  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
