SEND Teacher: Full-Time (Lewes, East Sussex)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in Lewes. This full-time, temporary role runs from January to February 2026, with potential for extension. You will teach pupils with a range of special educational needs, delivering high-quality, individualised learning to support their progress and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs
Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, SEMH, MLD/SLD
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEND team
Use effective behaviour management and positive reinforcement strategies
Track and report pupil progress accurately
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching in SEND or specialist settings
Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills
Calm, patient, and flexible approach
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
