SEND Teacher: Full-Time (Lewes, East Sussex)

Contract: Full-Time, January – February 2026 (possibility of extension)
Start Date: January 2026

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in Lewes. This full-time, temporary role runs from January to February 2026, with potential for extension. You will teach pupils with a range of special educational needs, delivering high-quality, individualised learning to support their progress and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs

  • Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, SEMH, MLD/SLD

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEND team

  • Use effective behaviour management and positive reinforcement strategies

  • Track and report pupil progress accurately

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Experience teaching in SEND or specialist settings

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and behaviour management skills

  • Calm, patient, and flexible approach

  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
