SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Surrey

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £100 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to develop a rewarding career working with children and young people with additional needs.

About the Role

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism

  • Challenging behaviour

  • Learning difficulties

  • Social, emotional and behavioural needs

  • Additional learning needs

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help pupils access learning and build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and progress.

About You

The successful candidate will be:

  • Experienced working with children or young people with SEND

  • Calm, patient and non-judgemental

  • Confident supporting children with challenging behaviour

  • Understanding and compassionate

  • Reliable and committed

  • A good communicator and team player

  • Willing to learn and develop new skills

  • Passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives

Previous SEND experience is highly desirable, particularly experience with autism, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties.

However, we are also keen to hear from candidates who have the right attitude and a genuine interest in developing a career within SEND. Training and professional development opportunities will be available.

Pay & Holiday Pay

The pay stated is inclusive of the additional 12.07% PAYE holiday pay.
