Are you a caring, resilient and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Bromley?
Pink Tile Education are working with a supportive school who are looking for a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
This role would be particularly suited to someone who has experience supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils access their education, develop their confidence and build positive relationships within the school environment.
Working alongside teachers and the wider support team, you will provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils manage barriers to learning and engage positively with school life.
You may be supporting pupils with:
Autism (ASC)
ADHD
Learning difficulties
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
Challenging behaviour
Communication and interaction needs
A variety of additional SEND requirements
The successful candidate will be calm and consistent when managing challenging situations and able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people
Has previous experience within a SEND setting
Is confident supporting pupils displaying challenging behaviour
Has an understanding of autism and ADHD
Has experience supporting children with learning difficulties and/or SEMH
Is patient, empathetic and resilient
Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Can encourage and motivate pupils to engage with learning
Works well as part of a wider school team
Is reliable, proactive and passionate about supporting young people
Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Worker, Youth Worker or similar would be advantageous.
