Pink Tile Education is currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Bromley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD and challenging behaviour.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils
Supporting pupils during lessons and helping them access the curriculum
Delivering and assisting with small-group interventions
Supporting pupils with ASD and social, emotional and behavioural needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils regulate their emotions
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of the support team
Supporting pupils to develop their independence, confidence and social skills
Adapting your approach to meet individual pupils’ needs
The successful candidate will be:
Passionate about working with children and young people
Patient, caring and resilient
Confident supporting pupils with SEND, ASD and challenging behaviour
A strong communicator and positive team player
Able to work effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiative
Calm and consistent when faced with challenging situations
Reliable, proactive and enthusiastic
Previous experience in a SEND, education, care or support setting is desirable but not essential
