Pink Tile Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in the Shirley area of Southampton that supports pupils with Autism and associated communication needs.

As a School Business Manager, one of the most important qualities I look for when recruiting support staff is the ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support within the classroom, helping pupils develop their communication, independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with Autism and additional learning needs
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver personalised learning activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Encourage communication and social interaction
  • Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes and educational activities
  • Promote a safe and positive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for SEND education
  • Reliability and commitment to supporting pupil progress
