SEND Teaching Assistant – Waterlooville

Full Time | Immediate Start | £14.25 per hour

Are you looking for a meaningful role where you can positively impact the education and development of young people with additional needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to work full time within a supportive educational setting in Waterlooville.

About the Role

This role involves supporting pupils with a variety of SEND needs, helping them access learning and achieve personal goals within a structured and nurturing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils in lessons and specialist learning activities
  • Working closely with teaching staff to implement support strategies
  • Assisting children with communication, social skills, and emotional development
  • Promoting engagement, independence, and confidence
  • Supporting positive behaviour management approaches
  • Creating positive relationships that encourage pupil success

Requirements

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable
  • Positive and resilient attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
