SEND Teaching Assistant – Basingstoke

Full Time | Immediate Start | £14.25 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive educational setting in Basingstoke on a full-time basis.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of pupils who require additional support to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH, and Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support
  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and communication needs
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEND professionals, and parents/carers where appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting SEND learners
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role
