We’re looking for a caring and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bexhill.
You’ll work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to engage in learning, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a real difference in young people’s lives.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language, and SEMH needs).
Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and learning materials to meet individual needs.
Implement support strategies outlined in EHCPs and IEPs.
Encourage independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENDCo.
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in a school or similar setting).
Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is essential.

Desirable:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience in a mainstream or special school environment.
