We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Brighton.
You’ll support pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a genuine difference in young people’s lives.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language, and SEMH needs).
Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored support based on EHCPs and IEPs.
Encourage inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.
Support pupils’ personal, emotional, and social development.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff.
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in a school or similar setting).
Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is essential.

Desirable:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience in a mainstream or special school environment.
