A specialist primary provision in Basingstoke is looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and communication needs.
This school provides a structured and nurturing environment where pupils benefit from predictable routines, visual learning strategies and strong pastoral support.
You will be working closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, social development and emotional regulation.
Supporting pupils with Autism on a 1:1 basis
Helping pupils access classroom activities
Implementing visual timetables and structured routines
Supporting communication and interaction skills
Encouraging independence and positive behaviour
This role would suit someone who is patient, observant and able to provide calm, consistent support.
Experience supporting Autism or SEND
DBS on the Update Service
Up-to-date safeguarding training
This position is available for an immediate start and could develop into a long-term role for the right person.
