SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Opportunity

A popular and inclusive primary school in Farnborough is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.

The school benefits from excellent facilities, a nurturing learning environment and a highly supportive SEND team. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child has access to the resources and support needed to succeed both academically and socially.

This role will involve supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them engage positively with learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored SEND support
  • Supporting positive behaviour strategies
  • Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Supporting learning activities planned by the class teacher
  • Monitoring progress and reporting observations
  • Encouraging independence and emotional wellbeing

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker background preferred
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for supporting SEND learners
  • Reliable, flexible and professional approach
