Pink Tile Education is working with a specialist primary alternative provision in Chichester that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs while working towards a permanent position through a successful temp-to-perm placement.
No two days are the same in this Teaching Assistant role. You’ll be supporting pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour, helping them feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Building positive, trusting relationships is at the heart of everything this school does.
Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant position.
Based in Chichester.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
£100 per day.
September start.
Temp-to-perm opportunity through Pink Tile Education.
This welcoming alternative provision in Chichester supports primary-aged pupils whose social, emotional or mental health needs make mainstream education challenging. Children learn in small class groups alongside a qualified teacher and additional Learning Support Assistants, ensuring every pupil receives the personalised support they need.
The team works together to create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where pupils can rebuild confidence and achieve success.
Supporting children with SEMH needs throughout the school day.
Building meaningful relationships that encourage trust and engagement.
Assisting pupils during lessons and structured activities.
Responding positively to challenging and dysregulated behaviour.
Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
Working closely with teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants to provide consistent support.
Has experience supporting people with mental health needs.
Is resilient, patient and confident working with challenging behaviour.
Can remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
Enjoys building positive relationships with children.
Has previous experience working with children, education or care settings (preferred but not essential).
Is looking for a long-term Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant opportunity in Chichester.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
