This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Chichester, catering to students aged 2–19 with a variety of complex needs. You’ll be part of a team who genuinely care about the students they work with and who are dedicated to helping them thrive.
Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, communication difficulties, and more complex learning needs
Assisting with personal care, including toileting and feeding, where needed
Helping students to access their learning through play, sensory activities, life skills, and communication strategies
Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils to regulate when they become dysregulated or distressed
Working as part of a friendly and experienced team under the guidance of the class teacher and senior staff
Have a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Be resilient, proactive, and calm under pressure
Be open to providing personal care and supporting students with mobility and communication needs
Be a team player who is happy to collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and parents
Have excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
Ideally have experience with SEND, either personally or professionally (although not essential – the right attitude matters most)
