Our wonderful School in Crawley is looking for a caring, friendly and organised Student Services Receptionist to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly improving all through school. You will be responsible for providing first aid and support to students from Reception to Year 11, as well as working on the Reception desk.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a school setting (however this is not essential). A valid Paediatric/ 3 Day First at Work first aid qualification would be desirable, and a sound awareness of health and safety (in relation to medicines/first aid) would be beneficial.

Working hours:

The working hours are 37 hours per week, term time only (Monday to Friday 08:15-16:15). Should an applicant wish to work reduced weekly hours, a slightly earlier finish may be considered.

The role:

The Student Services Receptionist is responsible for supporting students in relation to first aid and monitoring and administering the procedures in relation to first aid and medical needs across the school.
They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents/carers, visitors and other stakeholders, providing a safe and efficient welcome to the school, ensuring that all safeguarding administration is completed.

We are looking for individuals who have:

Experience of working in an admin/receptionist role
Experience of working with children or young people
Demonstrate flexibility and are skilled at multi-tasking
Demonstrate sensitivity, tact and confidentiality particularly when dealing with more sensitive issues
Able to work calmly in pressured situations
Have a caring and helpful nature
