A welcoming school in Andover is recruiting a Student Wellbeing & Inclusion Mentor to provide dedicated support to pupils with SEND and additional needs from September 2026.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students feel safe, engaged and ready to learn. Whether supporting learning in the classroom, helping pupils navigate social situations or providing encouragement during challenging moments, you’ll be a vital part of each student’s educational journey.

This position would suit someone who enjoys working directly with young people and is passionate about creating positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Helping students access learning and remain engaged throughout lessons
• Promoting wellbeing, confidence and emotional resilience
• Supporting social development and independence
• Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of teaching staff
• Contributing to an inclusive and nurturing school environment

• Experience supporting children or young people
• A background in education, care, youth work or mentoring
• Excellent communication skills
