We’re looking for a Support Mentor to join our nurturing school community in Hastings. You’ll make a real difference every single day by supporting a child who needs a bit of extra encouragement to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEMH needs, helping them engage with learning and school life
Building trust, celebrating small wins, and helping the pupil develop self-confidence and positive routines
Encouraging emotional wellbeing and self-regulation through patience, creativity, and empathy
Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to create a consistent, supportive environment
Adapting lessons and resources to meet the child’s unique learning style
You don’t need to have years of experience — what matters most is your attitude, empathy, and ability to connect.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Kind, patient, and resilient, with a genuine desire to help young people succeed
A great listener who can build positive, trusting relationships
Calm under pressure and able to bring out the best in others
Experienced in SEMH or SEND support (desirable, but training will be provided!)
