Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to join our team within a specialist children’s secure unit school setting.

This is a highly rewarding role working with small groups of students who require additional support to engage in education and develop both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in small group settings to access learning
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Encouraging personal development, confidence, and life skills

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, resilience, and a calm approach under pressure
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  • Ability to adapt and think on your feet

Transferable Skills We Value:

  • Youth work, care work, mentoring, coaching, or support roles
  • Experience in challenging environments
  • Teamwork and problem-solving abilities
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy
