Support Mentors/ Staff – SEMH School (KS2, KS3 & KS4)
Term Time Only | School Hours | No Nights or Long Shifts 
£14.25 + hourly rate pendning experience 

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives?
We are looking for dedicated and resilient Support Staff to work within a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) boys’ school supporting pupils across KS2, KS3 and KS4.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who want to move away from long shifts and weekend work into a structured, term-time role.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting students who may experience:

  • Emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Trauma-related needs
  • Difficulties with engagement and learning

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom and during activities
  • Building positive, trusting relationships
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
  • Encouraging engagement in learning and routines
  • Promoting emotional regulation and social skills
  • Working closely with teaching staff and therapists
  • Providing a safe, structured and supportive environment

What We’re Looking For

Experience (Desirable but not essential):

  • SEMH, SEN or behaviour support
  • Care or support work
  • Youth work or mentoring
  • Mental health support roles

Transferable skills are highly valued – if you’ve worked in care, support, or similar settings, we want to hear from you.
