We’re working with a brilliant secondary school in West Sussex to find a talented and committed Philosophy, Ethics and Theology teacher to join their humanities team this September.
This is a full-time role teaching across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities at KS5. You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking department that values creativity, independence, and subject passion. The team encourages tailored approaches that suit both your teaching strengths and the needs of the students, with a strong focus on engagement, ethical discussion, and academic progress.
This position would suit an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking to develop in a welcoming and collaborative environment. There’s also scope to teach Sociology at GCSE and A-Level for the right candidate.
🔹 We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience teaching RE or Philosophy at KS3 & KS4
Is interested in or has experience at KS5 (Philosophy, RE or Sociology)
Brings energy, subject knowledge, and a genuine enthusiasm for ethical and philosophical debate
Can inspire students of all abilities to think critically and independently
Is keen to contribute to the wider department through study support and extracurriculars
The school offers excellent support, a clear CPD pathway, and a strong community feel across staff and students.
Interested? Let’s get a conversation started about arranging a trial or interview – September is coming fast, and schools are making decisions now.
