Teaching Assistant – SEND Team – Horsham – January 2026 Start

Pink Tile Education are delighted to be supporting a thriving secondary school in Horsham in their search for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their SEND team from January 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term role with the opportunity to move onto a temp-to-perm contract for the right candidate. The school has a reputation for inclusion, kindness, and academic excellence — it’s the kind of place where staff genuinely enjoy coming to work and where every child, no matter their background or need, is valued and supported.

Working as part of the SEND team, you’ll play a key role in helping students with additional needs access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. You’ll work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and specialist staff, adapting support to suit individual learners and promoting independence wherever possible.

No two days will be the same — you might find yourself supporting in class, delivering small group interventions, or helping a student regulate emotions and re-engage in their learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is compassionate, patient and truly passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives.

Role Highlights:

  • Full-time role from January 2026

  • Working within the SEND team to support pupils with additional learning needs

  • Temp to perm opportunity – long-term consistency with the chance of a permanent post

  • Supportive, inclusive school with excellent leadership and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • At least 3 months’ experience working in a UK school setting

  • DBS on the Update Service and up-to-date safeguarding training

  • A positive, caring attitude and a genuine commitment to helping every student succeed

Pay: £89 per day (term-time only)

This is a chance to join a school that values its support staff, invests in professional growth, and fosters a culture of respect and belonging. If you’re ready to make a meaningful difference in a school that truly gets it — we’d love to hear from you!
