Are you a resilient, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in Bexhill, supporting pupils across primary and secondary age groups.
This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to go temp-to-perm for the right candidate.
Supporting students with SEND (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, and complex needs)
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and adapting learning materials
Providing 1:1 and small group support both in and out of class
Supporting students with personal care and helping to develop life skills (training provided)
Encouraging independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure pupils thrive
A can-do attitude and genuine passion for supporting SEND pupils
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and emotional maturity – able to handle challenging behaviour calmly and positively
Adaptability and initiative – able to think on your feet and adjust to the needs of the day
Patience and empathy, building trusting relationships with pupils
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
Willingness to support with personal care if required
