Teaching Assistant / Mentor (PRU) – Littlehampton, West Sussex – 32.5 hours per week 8:30 – 3:30 – £79 per day, term time only.

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious Alternative Provision school. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS3 & KS4. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. The school aim to provide a caring and positive environment where all are valued and supported through a personalised curriculum which challenges and inspires individuals to achieve their potential.
The school caters for young people who struggled in mainstream schools for a number of reasons, with very challenging behaviour usually being a key aspect of their referral. Applicants must have a confident, calm and resilient personality to form bonds, giving the young people another chance to succeed in education.
This is a long-term, ongoing placement with a view to making it permanent for the right candidate. 12 weeks temp to perm.
£79 per day.
Requirements
- Experience working with children & young people with behaviour management
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
- Patience and resilience with very challenging behaviour
- Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
- Confident working with children & young people in the Alternative Provision/Pupil Referral Unit
- Experience working with children & young people in the Alternative Provision/Pupil Referral Unit (desired)
