Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young people and ready for a rewarding role in education? We’re recruiting fulltime and part time Teaching Assistants to work in SEND schools across the Hastings and Bexhill area, supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them thrive in the classroom.

💼 The Role:

• Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with SEND (including SEMH, ASD, ADHD)

• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

• Help create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

🧠 Transferable Experience We’re Looking For:

You don’t need to have worked in a school before. We welcome applicants with experience from roles such as:

• Youth Worker

• Support Worker / Care Worker

• Mental Health Support

• Sports Coach

• Nursery Practitioner

• Residential Care Staff

• Strong communication and teamwork

• Calm, patient, and resilient approach

• Ability to build positive relationships

• Confidence supporting behaviour and emotional regulation

• A genuine interest in SEND education
