Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Horsham area, West Sussex – Full-time – Start As Soon As Available, Temp to Perm. 8:30 – 16:30 term time only. £95 per day.

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our client, a progressive special school around the Horsham area.

All pupils at the school (boys & girls, 7 – 18 years old) will have access to an education that is personalised, engaging and will encompass a purposeful and balanced curriculum. The philosophy is based upon principles which are holistic, inclusive, aspirational and progressive.

The pupil community is diverse & spans KS1 to KS4. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. The TA must be flexible with age groups from Key Stage 1 to GCSE level students. The school are seeking to appoint permanent staff after an initial probation period (12 weeks)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
• Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
• Confident working with children & young people in SEN
• Experience working with children & young people (desired)
• Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

• Inspire & engage the learners with the task
