£108 per day | Full-Time | 8:30am – 4:30pm | Temp-to-Perm | September Start

A specialist school in Woking is looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their team this September. Supporting pupils with SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), you’ll play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils and teachers to support learning, behaviour and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Supporting engagement with learning and school activities.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and emotional regulation.
• Supporting positive behaviour and calmly managing challenging situations.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to meet individual needs.
• Creating a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.

We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, SEND, SEMH, care or youth work.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour.
• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential.
