Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their potential?

A specialist SEMH school in Ledbury is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with young people and supporting their learning, behaviour and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Support pupils in the classroom and across the wider school.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Encourage engagement with learning and promote independence.
  • Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to meet individual needs.
  • Create a calm, safe and supportive learning environment.

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND, education, youth work or care.
  • Calm, patient and resilient, with a consistent approach to behaviour.
  • Confident building strong relationships with young people.
  • Able to support pupils who may present with challenging behaviour.
  • Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential.
