SEND Teaching Assistant – Complex Needs (Primary)
📍 Location: Crawley
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:45pm (45-minute lunch break)
📅 Start Date: Immediate and September 2025 starts available
💷 Pay: Competitive daily rate (based on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting children with complex SEND needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to make a difference in a primary special school setting?
We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a warm and welcoming school in Crawley, supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
Provide one-to-one or small group support under teacher direction
Assist with personal care, sensory activities, and specialist equipment
Help implement individual learning and behaviour plans
Encourage communication, independence, and engagement
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly complex needs
A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach
Willingness to support with physical and personal care
Ability to adapt and respond to the needs of each pupil
Full-time availability, either immediately or from September
