A specialist SEN school in Virginia Water is looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting primary-aged pupils with additional learning and special educational needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop both academically and personally.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and wider support team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs.

• Support primary-aged pupils within a specialist SEN setting
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
• Support communication, confidence and independence
• Assist pupils with their individual learning and development
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
• Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional support
